Of course! They need it to put your visa in it. If they kept it they will give it back to you with the visa in it the next day or two or I don't know probably depends on embassy and country. In my case (Macedonia) he kept my passport and told me to come back for it the next day at a certain time...

I got my visa. I wasn't asked for neither I-134 nor any bank statements. Just some few formal questions and where I am going to live. Good luck to all the rest from this year and those from the next. :)

yay if it says they might select then they will. it's true there was no such announcement at the beginning but now there is so they don't put it there for no reason. they probably believe they'll need more people to select which is good news for all the non-selected :)

I wonder why Europe is 33k when according to some people there's no open number greater than 30 800 :) It should have been current in that case but it isn't. I guess there are numbers as 31k after all.

you people only need to translate documents if they're not in English or in the official language of the country in which you're going to attend the interview. I mean if you still live in the same country from which you're obtaining your documents and that's where you're having your interview...

Maybe it is so cause in the previous years many of those 100 000 didn't want to proceed with the application so this year they decided to select more. they wouldn't selected more than usual unless it was really necessary. and no, doing it just for fun isn't the reason :)

yes they selected more people this year too and that's another reason why I believe they need more people to send their documents cause there were only around 100 000 last year. more than 105K actually. and that included all winners even those from october so maybe this year again they only...

And would really like to be a second draw this year too so more people be happier knowing they were selcted but i can't tell anything. besides this time they didn't say anything about an additional selection in october while last year in may when i was not selcted after the HAS NOT BEEN SELECTED...

No they don't need to. there's only one selcetion in may and that's it. in october they just reveal more numbers from those already selected and just change their status. so they can publish the results even now I think the numbers is that and no changes will be made anyway. i didn't know how...

i was talking about europe and the same thing happens for all the regions. there must be a good explanation behind this thing with the really high CNs, lot better than just saying that hey u don't get a chance simply cause ur number is high and high numbers don't get a chance. period. sorry but...

maybe they want to give a chance to high case numbers too maybe there are lots more holes in the numbers so they reveal the higher ones too. who knows. they know what they're doing. but i don't think that these numbers don't stand a chance at all. i believe they do, maybe not all of them but...

No u don't don't worry ur pictures are in the envelope and it includes ur notification letter as well and u got ur case number on it so u don't have to write it anywhere.

I have read of people from my region not getting to an interview and about people being denied visas so yes there are such cases even in 2003 as i remember. there was a post i came across from a guy from my country saying that he never got his second letter and he was wondering why but latter...
