Hello. thank you.I have one question. I came to the United States when I was 20 years old under my Mom's asylum. 4 years later, I applied to adjust my status and obtain my green card. That application was denied and was told to apply asylum for myself. I did it. after finger printing and interview, I got my asylum as Nunc Pro Tunc back dated. I was told that I can apply to adjust my status and obtain my Green Card. Here is my question. My wife is here in the US and she is a canadian Citizen. She has H1-B work visa. I wanted to apply the GC and include her in the application so that she can adjust her status. Here is a statement in my Asylum Granted letter
"Because you are obtaining asylum status nunc pro tunc(back to an earlier date), you are not eligible to add or apply for dependent family members to receive derivative asylum status"
how can I apply a change of status for my wife as she really needs to get a Work Permit in 6 months
