    Can I receive 1099-MISC from a different company owned by my employer (H-1B)

    Can anyone provide advice on my issue. My employer owns several companies and I am working on H-1 B for one of his companies. Is it okay to get an 1099-MISC from one of his other companies. There is no distinction between the work I do, I work from the same location and for the same company...
