MS [Food Science & Nutrition] Aug 2008
Left to India for family emergency Sept 2008
Applied for OPT Sept/Oct 2008
Return Date to US 12/08/2008
Note: Still haven’t received the OPT card; I have a Job offer Letter starting in Jan 2009
Issue: F1 VISA is expired. Needs to be renewed.
Here are my questions:
1. If I apply for visa now are there any chances of rejection? [I was told its not advisable to leave the country more than 30 days; I do have a valid reason and the Job offer letter]
2. Can I submit my job offer letter to the interview officer if I decide to renew my F1 Visa?
3. My husband is in US on H1 visa. So I can apply for H4 too. I want to try to get visa on F1 / OPT. If not I want to try for H4 Visa.
1. Which one is recommended - Taking risk and applying for F1 visa on my OPT or go straight to H4?
2. If my student visa is rejected within how much days can I apply for H4? If so is there any chances of getting any Query?
