Yes, 3-year rule. Originally issued May 1, 2006. Expired May 1, 2008. Obviously, I have an extension for one year as well.

I have all the documents all gathered and organized, however, I just got approved for my 10-year GC, after filing to remove conditions. I don't have the new card yet, should I wait for it in order to make copies? Or make copies of the old one?

I heard it might take longer if one's changing name. How about I just want to ADD a middle name?

Please update. I got approved today!! Email came between 9 and 10 am, for those who are wondering. Yay. Off to citizenship now (my eligibility starts on this Friday). So overall the process took almost a year (minus a week), I guess.
