Can I convert from L1B to L1A

Hi, I am on L1B and my L1B visa is going to expire on Feb 27th 2010. Can I covert to L1A now by asking my employer to file a premium coversion. Is this possible? Is there any clause that I shouldn't be doing this? Please help Nani
