I'm sorry but can you clarify? My son's case is "pending," however I have his A-number from the receipts. I believe that I still have to wait until his status is approved to fill out the FAFSA, correct?

Ok, I just realized that I have the A-number, however FAFSA also requests the date he had been declared permanent residence. I do not have this date, is there a workaround to this?
