please do stay in contact with me, i think we can help each other through. what is your process so far? i sent my forms(ds-122+photos+bar code) to kcc beginning of this month and haven't received 2nd NL yet. i waited a little to send them in because i hadn't decided for sure on AOS or CP but am now strongly for AOS because i don't want to travel back home being busy at work here and i just feel more confident in the uscis process which i believe i might have more control over....

I've spoken with 2 immigration attorneys and also with a non-profit org I used to intern at that deals with immigration issues and I have zero confidence in anyone else knowing how the process works. this forum has really been great and I've learned so much that i too have decided to handle everything myself. i've read pretty much everything that uscis has in recent years published about DV and i'm prepared to correct any errors and complications headed my way. i also have confidence(hope) in that my name check(FBI background check) won't take longer than normal as i have recently gone through two of them, one for OPT and one for H1B and they seemed to go smoothly.

I know of more people with EU case numbers starting with 31XXX, on the russian DV forum there were at least 4. I am from northern europe (scandinavia). I live in the US as well right now still on F1-OPT but my H1B is pending since August. I am going for AOS at least that's what I think at the moment, I believe if my case number becomes current in July that I will have enough time. depending on how the VB numbers move though i could change to CP. it seems to me that there are more high EU CNs this year than previous year (not sure why and could speculate), so I'm hoping VB numbers move quickly this year.

you r the first person I ve seen with a higher case number than mine, and just wanted to say hi.
I live in the US with a J1 visa, and will do AOS .
I emailed couple of attorneys about DV issues, one said that regardless of my case number, he can send all documents even now, when I asked how come he can do it , he needs to wait for the current date and etc.... he told me that he is authorized to do that. he sounded as if he s trying to stupid me and get my money.... long story short, I'll do by myself, these forums are very helpful, my advice to you is do it yourself.

i'm from turkey, where r u from? do you think we'll have enough time to get our GC before sept 30, 2012?
have you heard any other case number higher than ours?
