Does the London embassy issue the same kind of notice? thanks

Anyone has experience of waiting time between when London consulates requests a visa number and interview date? Also, anyone knows what day of the month the London embassy issues out appointment dates? (I was told around mid month but still havent seen anything yet...) many thanks
