    Hi another_fella, Thanks for your response. I have a related question or two. You said, "You should have filed 485 before H1B expiry to maintain valid status. Just the 140 receipt alone doesn't give you status. Approved 140 will help in getting 3 year H1 extension beyond the 6 year period...
