I have a friend who is married to the U.S. citizen and is about to become a citizen himself. His mother overstayed her tourist visa awhile back. Can son sponsor his mother while she is here or does she need to go back to her country before he can file for her?
Thank you
Thank you for the info, Mr. Ahmed.
Well, I guess everything is going by the plan for you :)
I too received an notice from the NVC stating that the approval was sent to Edinburgh, Scotland (where we were married). They just didn\'t realize that Edinburgh consulate doesn\'s process K-3\'s or...
Pinesh, I am a little confused
You said your papers only now went to Missouri? Missouri is the INS Center where they approve your I-129F. So, which of the approvals did you already get?
You see, when you send I-129F to Chicago, it is automatically forwarded to the Missouri center. First...
Hi, Al.
Well, the letter from Chicago was dated 10/12. NVC entered into their system on 10/24. Yesterday they told me that on 10/30 a cable and/or fax was sent to Scotland. They even gave me a case number for Scotland. Scotland doesn\'t process visas. Only London does.
I called the NVC...
Mr. Ahmed, when did the NVC entered the info into their system?
I mean how long was your case in NVC before it was forwarded to the consulate? What consulate did it go to?
When did you receive your approval (date of approval) from Chicago?
Thank you.
I too, got the good news today!
Called NVC and was told that cable went out to the consulate in Edinburgh, Scotland. The problem is that my husband is in London and Edinburgh consulate doesn\'t issue visas. NVC didn\'t know that. So, now I have to make sure the info will be forwarded to London.
Al, London Consulate doesn\'t want any of the affidavits
That\'s after I was told first to send the I-134 and later I-864, I was told that I shouldn\'s send anything. Well, I already did send the I-134 anyway.
You should check with your consulate. Some consulates expect you to send one. I...
Some interesting details from the London Consulate re: K-3 processing
Today, I received one of many e-mails I\'ve been receiving from one of the Consuls at the London Consulate. So far they\'ve received two approvals from the NVC, but they weren\'t for my husband.
The process in England is...
Al, he by mistake took everything that was expected of him at the time of the interview.
He even brought the originals. I gave him "hell" about it, but I guess it\'s not as bad as I thought, since the Consul wrote to me that we have a choice either to leave the docs there until the...
Some disturbing news :(
I just read on another message board that some of the Consulates are not issuing K-3 visas yet and tell people that it will be faster for them to come to the U.S. through the I-130.
this is really disturbing since the law has past regarding the K-3, so why aren\'t...
