Visa renewed. Experience posted I got my F-1 visa renewed on Aug. 31 in Ottawa. Very easy. About 30-40 people there. Got passport the next day at 3 pm. nO QUESTIONS asked. One of the Enbassy officer was an Indian guy, but I got called by a white lady. Good luck to all.
