My I-140 was filed with NSC in Nov 2001 and it was approved in Mar 2002.

I sent a fax to FBI in 9/04 and got a reply in 10/04. But I heard they no longer take fax or phone inquiry so you can only send them e-mails.

Frodo, I got a phone call from my Congresswoman's office today, and it appeared that USCIS issued the fingerprinting notice in response to the inquiry by her office a while ago. But all she told me was that the case is now "back on track" and "could be" assigned to an officer. So here comes...

Just had our 3rd FPs taken But online message never changed. It appeared that the FP notices were generated automatically. Did your LUD change after you took your 3rd FP, Frodo?

I sent the fax to 202-324-3367. However if I remember it correctly, recently there was a thread here that claimed FBI no longer accepts fax inquiries, but instead prefers e-mail or phone. Please do a search of the forums and see for yourself.

Go to http://www.house.gov/ and enter your zip code - it will direct you to the website of your congressman or woman. Hopefully on their websites they post instructions for you to submit requests. Good luck to you.

GRCA-2002, I decided to contact me congresswoman. Do you think that I should tell her office about all my details including name check cleared and FP2 expired, or just let them make the initial inquiry and then follow up once they get an initial answer/excuse from CIS? Thanks again and...
