    as long as you have D/S stamped, then you have an allowable 30 day grace period. Only if you have no D/S stamped are you required to go home on the date specified... you dont need to file an extension... :)

    disha, look at the stamp in your I94, if it says D/S, it means duration of stay, then you can extend 30 days but if its tells you an exact date, then you must go home on the day it tells you.
