Just want to add one more thing, she already finished her OPT and then got admitted again for keeping the status. She can not get any more OPT now.

What is the answer of your questions? I have the exact problem with the second question of yours. My wife's F1 will expire while her application to change of status is pending. Will she be out-of-status then? Please reply. Thanks
