  • Hi,

I hope I can reach you via this forum in private. I had my naturalization interview on 2 December 2008 at the Baltimore Office. The interview lasted 10 to 15 minutes, and everything seemed to be in order (I have no criminal records and other issues of possible concern to USCIS). However, I did request a name change during the interview, and the IO told me that I would have to wait for an oath letter in the mail to attend a judicial oath ceremony, as opposed to an administrative one where no name change is requested. He said that I should expect an oath letter in less than a month, possibly two to three weeks.

In your experience, how long did you have to wait for the oath letter after the interview? Did the Baltimore Office or the Vermont Service Center send the oath letter? I would appreciate it if you could enlighten me, as I am anxiously waiting to complete the final leg of my naturalization journey.
