researching on different sites, it seems that the time taken for administrative processing is longer for H1,F1 etc and its less for immigrant visas.... Any thoughts?

My parents went thr' consular processing. At the time of interview. medical was not complete. After the interview was done, they were given 221(g) and asked to submit the medical to VFS. I was assuming they are now through and once the consular gets the medical they will issue the immigrant...
