That makes some sense but should these databases all be crosslinked such that I would not have been able to apply and get approved for a new H1 (since at this point I'm dead) just 2 months ago? This particular H1 was apparently from around year 2000.

I had my I-485 interview and everything was going ok until the officer announced that I was marked 'dead' in the I-94 computer system for one of my H1 entries into the US. They hold off on the approval until they do an investigation. Has anyone come across such a problem? I can't see why the...
