I have an extraordinary situation. Please help me in finding an answer for the quiz.
I came to the U.S from Germany on L1-B visa in Aug 2004. My company A proccessed for green card. Labour was approved with priotity date of Feb. 2005 and I-140 was approved in 2006. Since there was no visa number available at that time, we were waiting for I-485 application. Meanwhile, USICS froze all the visa numbers for L1 visa last January and I asked company A to transfer the L1B to H1B and they did it. But I resigned from company A and joined company B on TN visa (I became Canadian in Feb. 2008) in May 2008. Now company A (for whom I no longer work) informed me that my H1B got approved. My L1B expiration is June 2009 and the new H1B expiration is June 2010. The visa numbers for my L1B is available now. But I am not with company A now. Suppose if I rejoin company A, can they sponsor me again L1B and process for I-485 with the use of already approved labour and I-140? If I join them in November 2008, will they be able to apply for I-485 before May/June next year?
