Hi, I am currently working in a company on H1..Another company has offered to do my H1 transfer and I have already provided all teh documents for the same.The lawyer has confirmed that the petition will be sent by next week.I would like to know when can I start working for the new company...- charuverma

OPT-H1,Grace Period Utilisation
Hi, I am in OPT from 1st sep 2005 till 31st august 2006. I would wanna know if there is a possibility for me to apply for H-1 with effect from 1st oct 2006.In the menatime I have 30 days for which I would be out of status but I still fall under the grace period.
