My husband is currently detained at Krome an INS facility, INS came to get him on Sep 08, They say he has a deportation letter from a INS court in California on Nov '93'. Now this letter has a different alien # than the one INS issued him when they granted him TPS back in 98. The attorney has filed a paperwork to re-open the case from California, which was granted. Now my husband was not aware of this deportation letter from 93. We have proof that he has been in Miami since 92. What can we do? The lawyer says the best way out is Voluntarly Departure, Is that true? My husband has always been in contact with INS, WHY DO WE HAVE TO PAY FOR THEIR ERRORS? WHAT CAN I DO SO THAT HE DOES NOT HAVE TO LEAVE THIS COUNTRY?
