  • Dear Friends,

I was working for employer A and got stamped on October 2007 and it is valid until Sep 30 2010.
I did H1B transfer to employer B on Jan 2009 and I got new 797 approval and valid until June 2009 with new I-94 at the bottom of new 797.
I have applied for extension in June 2009 and got another I797 approval notice valid until Jan 2012.

We are planning India trip in April 2010. And my passport was getting expire in Sept 2010 and hence I have applied for Renewal and now
I have new (renewed until Jan 2020) and old passport with valid US visa on it. And VISA on old passport is not yet cancelled.

    Question:

    1. Do we need to go for stamp during my vocation for employer change or shall we return with our valid VISA expires on sep 2010(old employer) and with new approval notice 797 which expires on Jan 2012?

    2. What should be my answer if CBP officer ask "why didn't you stamped for new employer when you visited your home country" ?
