My parents have obtained family-base GC. They are currently outside of US for almost one year and deciding whether they still want to keep the GC. THey don't plan on living in US tho. So if they give up GC (by staying outside of US for more than a year), will they have trouble obtaining travel...

My 2-yr condition PR is expiring in May and I'm filing I-751 to remove the condition. However, I need to travel outside of US in June for a few weeks, do I need to file I-131 to get a re-entry permit? Or an "expired" gc will do? Thanks in advance!
