6 months or 1 year outside the U.S.??
Every body here is saying that the maximum a green card holder can stay outside the U.S. is 6 months. But the INS site says I need a re-entry form only if I plan to stay outside for more than 1 year. What If I want to leave for 8 months, do I need a re-entry form? Is that what the INS says...
