where r u currently?i mean in india? if yes, then see if u can apply for a Visa at the US consulate at Bombay. Im sure here you will get a date easily.There seems to be less rush here ,esp for student Visas. Students r getting dates in a duration of 2 -3 days too,this is as on now .
