Yes, you get an A# on the OPT. I have one too when I had it long time ago. I file the A# on the 325A with that number but when receiving the receipts the A# was different. They will give you another number but it won't hurt if you use that number to file the papers.
File number A means Alien number.
"A" number or Alien Registration Number is the number issued only for all lawful permanent resident (greencard holders). The number will be issued in Notice of Receipt after you submitted paperwork.
