Hi, I am planning to apply for H1B this April for my spouse and plan to apply for H4 in June. Is it allowed? Will she need any other procedure to follow other than this, before entering? Later, can i change the status from H4 to the same H1B i applied before? Thanks,

Thanks, in my case its filed as Change of Status (COS) from B1 to H1B. And my B1 I-94 is expired and waiting for this Change of Status Approval. So, right now, i am eligible to stay but not after Approval if COS. This is waht i am understood now. Really, thanks for your replies. How much...

Really thanks for your reply. What do you mean by "Start Date", I am already in US and my B1 to H1B is pending. What i understand is, from the date of Approval till Start Date (OCT-01-2006), I will not be able to stay here. Is that correct? Thanks.,
