I got married to my wife who is USC last year and we filed papers for me in August 2009. Since then, we have completed all the formalities, including the interview on 10/21 in NJ. The immigration officer approved the I130 right away and I have recd a notice regarding the same. Since I was in the country on an emply-based EAD, she wanted to take a look at that petition as well. That file was at the Nebraska service center and she said it would take her 2 weeks to call for the file. My attorney had asked me not to withdraw that file since it made no difference. Now its been over 6 weeks and I still haven't received the approval for my 485. Repeated calls to the cc have asked me to wait 60 days and then file an Infopass apt for a service request. Also, the cc rep told me that my empl-based file is still in Nebraska. Did the immigration officer forget to call for the file? I thought in normal cases you should get your GC in a matter of a few days after your interview. Any thoughts?
