You are right!!! I just paid an appointment with an attorney to find out exactly when can I go back to my country. The answer is whe you become US citizen. With GC, probabbly you can come back, but is not guaranteed, is at INS officer discretion.

Sooner I think 2 more years is too much. They should be working in your case, and your passport will be stamped very soon. Somebody in this forum, who filed DEC/98 was already called for interview.
