my usc daughter petitioned my green card in " immediate relative parent" category in 2008. Now nvc have completed my file , scheduled my interview in april 2010 at uae consulate and sent my file to uae where i work and live.
I understand on successful interview, i would get maximum 6 month within which i should enter usa but this is what i want to delay by atleast 6 months to about june 2011.
my question is : If i request a postponement of interview by 6 months i.e. From april to say october 2010, is it considered a normal request or it has some downside which may negatively affect my this last step in obtaining a green card?
please advise what safe options i have and what should i do....... Please share your experience !!!!!thanks.
