    ok, i am looked just about every place I can at uscis but i can not find anything that says that i need to have an unexpired card. If i can use a expired card, its going to save me 400$

    OK, got that down. Another problem. I had a green card for over 12 years. Will this be a problem if i have an expired permanent residence card? or it should go threw ok? Will i need to renew my green card? After i find out the answer for this, i will go about my application for the citizenship
