I applied for I-485 last year in July when the PD became current. Also, applied and got my EAD and AP last October valid for a year.
Now my EAD and AP is expiring in about a months time and for some stupid reason, I was thinking that my I-485 would get processed soon. Didn't realise till my lawyer pointed out that PD for India in EB-3 category is retrogressed way back to 2001 while my priority Date is Jan 2005.
When asked, my lawyer pointed out that I would have to take leave if I don't get my EAD when my EAD expires till the point I receive the renewal EAD.
Has someone experienced or heard someone have this experience? Is there a premium processing for the renewal EAD or a grace period that you can work for till you get the new EAD?
Would appreciate input.
