You print the application form 765 on the USCIS website , you file your information and you put your address on it. And answer all the questions. When you done answering all the questions concerning you. Add 2 passport photos a copy of your expiring work permit and add the copy of your pending application with USCIS get a money order of $520 put everything in the envelope and mail it to the right USCIS office to process your application. I don't know if its your case but my lawyer told me as long as I have another kid under 21 I am still eligible.
 
My parents died during the process of obtaining my green card. In February, my mother will have been dead for two years, and the anniversary is being celebrated by tradition for only three years. I hope to get to celebrate an anniversary.
