Does everyone carry their Green Card with them all the time?

I know that's the 'law' and I've been carrying mine with me all the time, but I am also concerned if I lose it somehow, then all the troubles I've to go through. I Google-d and found out that a lot of people carry only a copy and not the original. Wanted to know what the people of this forum usually do. Did anyone run into any problem for not carrying his/her GC?
 
Thanks for pointing out to these threads, couldn't find them via 'Search'. Tough call to make whether to carry it or not. But since I travel to different cities across the US all the time, I might as well carry it. Chances are high that an officer will ask for it at one of the airports.
