Hi Beemer8
GC is still valid till January. I am not sure why we haven't received the NOA. Someone has suggested to call USCIS after getting FP done. Sometimes it gets lost in mail or sometimes they think they have sent it but haven't. We can also make INFOPASS and get the passport stamped in January with biometrics letter as evidence.
It does get scary when others seem to get paperwork like clock and we are still waiting :)
Good Luck

Hi, filer_2008.
Have you checked your case status on on the website? You can now look it up since you received your biometrics appointment letter. The receipt number is on that form. It should say:
"On October ___ , 2010, we received this CRI89 PETITION TO REMOVE CONDITIONS OF PERMANENT RESIDENT STATUS RECEIVED, and mailed you a notice describing how we will process your case. Please follow any instructions on this notice." etc...

That should indicate if they sent it to you. Then you'll know for sure it got lost in the mail.
Hang in there.

Hi Rein021d
I tried using the website but the case number is not showing up yet. Sometimes it is updated once FP is done. We tried to do walk-in FP today at Detroit's office but they have strict policy against it so no luck.
Also we are going to get passport stamped today just to be on safe side. USCIS said they will send another NOA but it will take a month.

Attested letters necessary?

What documents did you guys send with your application? Did you send 2 attested letters with your application?

I have credit card, lease, joint tax documents etc along with lots of photos. Would this be enough?

saga continues --- We went for infopass to get passport stamped and the lady was very helpful. She didn't stamp the passport though since the green card expiry date should be within 30 days to get it stamped. She did gather all the info and sent it to California center so that we can get NOA notice in mail. Also she gave us new Receipt # which was on our cashed check --- which still is not pulling up in the system :) She told us that new # should also be our FP recpt. #.. She told my husband that he should be able to get FP done today itself [I am due on same date as FP date given] and that supervisor will work with us. But we saw it was the same lady as earlier so we didn't even try...He will just go next week at the appt time.
Hopefully we will get NOA in mail soon.

Hi
We didn't send any attested letters. We sent only -- joint tax statements, utility bills, joint property proof, Insurance cards.

I sent in 2 notarized letters, (although it doesn't say anywhere that they have to be notarized). One is from my mother-in-law (who also owns the property we live on), and another from another common friend of ours. It does say to include sworn affidavits from at least two people, in addition to the other documents.

Filer_2008, the number that was on my cashed check was the same as the number on my NOA. However, that number never worked to look up my case online. The receipt number I needed was on my biometrics appointment letter, a different 13-digit number which started with the same 3 letters (WAC for me) It linked to my case, which they call CRI89 online.

Thanks guys. Now the only thing left is attested copies/letters from friends or relatives. I am not going to send this and hopefully they won't ask it.

I have joint taxes, lease, credit cards, photos, air-tickets for honeymoon, vacation trips together, car insurance etc which I think would be enough to approve my petition.

Wish me luck!

Hi rein021d, from looking at your biometrics appointment date and the day you did the biometrics, seems like you went in earlier then the appointment date, if that is correct? is that possible to do the biometrics earlier then the appointment date?
