After i returned my application forms to KCC in late Juneand opted to do a CP. i gave birth in October and it seems like my CN doesnt come current till August or September if all goes well. What is the best thing to do??
Do i fill another application to KCC and explain what happened and send the birth certificate or do i wait till i go for the interview and tell them of the baby. I had read somewhere incase of a new born or marriage you are supposed to tell them the first thing when you report for the interview. Please help so that i do the right thing at the right time...
Thanks for your responses.:)

Special Case : Birth of a child[/B]

_ The child is born after your entry submission, but before receiving the NL : simple, you just had the child in the forms.
_ The child is born after you sent back the forms : you print new ones, update them, and them to KCC along with a cover letter to explain ( you may want to add a birth certificate, but you would still need one for the interview )
_ Your interview is scheduled very close to the delivery date : have the interview scheduled for later, when the child is born so that he/she would get a GC too.
_ You went to the interview, the child is not yet born : that's more a problem : you should go to the US asap, so that the child is born as a USC. However, if you were not living in the US with medical insurance, that can be very expensive.

I think the child has to have a passport, and there would be the fees for him too ( visa fees of $755, and medical exam ).

Thanks for your response. Do I fill all the forms I received from KCC or is it one particular form? please help so i don't confuse. Another question, will they update my records before the number become current??? is there enough time to do that??

In my own case, i had my baby in december, and early this year i printed a new form DS-230 from an immigration website, filled the forms for my new baby, sign on his behalf, got his birth certificate from NPC, scanned the filled form DS-230 and the birth cert., and send to KCC via email.
KCC replied after 2 days "The information you provided will be included in your case file"

Fill part 1 and part 11 for a complete form.
Scan with an NPC cert for your baby and send via email.

I hope answered your question.

where did you sign for the baby??? they did not require a photo for the baby?? I am assuming they require the baby to have his or her own passport not to be endorsed on the parents right?

I signed for the baby with my signature and put "for" as the mother.
I did not include his photo on the form i sent to KCC then.
Yes, i think it's better you make a new passport for the baby.

Note: i scanned the filled form and his birth certificate and sent to KCC via email and got a reply 2 days later with a mail like " your file will be updated with the information you provided" something like that, not so sure how it's phrased, but i have the mail records saved somewhere.

I hope, this answered your question.

Thanks for your reply. I really do not remember any part where the child was supposed to sign as you put it that you signed for the baby with your signature and put "for" as the mother.. Please remind me.. So i understand that it is okay not to send the child's photo when you do scanned materials right?

On page 2 of DS-230 part 1 form, no 25 says signature of applicant & date:
i signed for my son (for..................)mother.

yes, for me, my baby was 20 days old and i could not make any passport photo for him (can't sit then), Anyway, KCC replied me and said my file will be updated. But i've made some passport photos for him i'd take to the embassy during our interview.

You can send a photo if you want, but i think it dosen't really matter, what they want is the form and his birth certificate.

But i thought you are the applicant (not your baby?)
