Working for a defense company

Is it possible to work for a defense company and not being a U.S. citizen? If it is, please clarify.

I work for a defense company and I have a GC. All depends on what kind of work you are involved in. If the work requires security clearance then you need citizenship for that. I believe there is a system in whioch a GC holder can apply for security clearance if the employer can show that there are no qualified citizens available in the company to do the job. Such concessions are rare, though.

If you are not a citizen you can almost never be employed
directly by the Government. Getting a Top Security Clearance
too is very difficuilt.

However if you work for a defence contractor, and you dont need TS clearance, then you have nothing to worry. I know people
doing programming jobs (dont know the level of security ), working in secure buildings that are on ***H1*** visas. So its also a matter of who you work for (direct govt employee or thru contractor)
