Which tax documents to send with N400

Hi all,

I am preparing my papers to send with my application but after reading these posts here I'm confused.I had the copies of tax-returns that I filed jointly with my hubby ( marriage -based citizenship) but I've been reading about W2 or IRS transcripts and now I don't know which ones to send. The ones I have are copies of Form 1040 for the last 3 yrs. Is that enough? Do I need another type of form altogether or just need to add something more?

Would I need the IRS transcripts anyways to take for the interview or W2 forms as some members have posted?

Thanks for your help!

There is nothing needed with N400. When you go for interview, take the tax transcripts (that you can get for free by calling IRS) and your W2s. The chances of they asking for either are not predictable. I wasn't asked a thing at all, except my GC, but the more you read the forums, the more your file is going to be thicker :). Well peace of mind is something in this world :)

So, for now, just the N400 is what you need.

My two cents..since I am not an attorney.
