I recently got approved for 10 yr GC. Its going to be 3 months before 3 yrs of residency on 9th of september since I got approved as a resident on 12/07/05. I am guessing I can apply N-400 based on 3 year marriage any time after 9th of september. Can I apply 3 months before its actually 3 years or do I have to wait until dec 7th? thanks

If you're applying for 3 year marriage based application, you can apply up to 90 days before the 3 year anniversary of your green card.

But you have to be married for the full 3 years ... the "minus 90 days" part only applies to the length of time as a permanent resident, not to the length of the marriage. And remember it's 90 days, not 3 months as mentioned by vega1x1.

thanks jackolantern for clarifying. I have been married for 4 yrs so thats no issue. Just wanted to clarify the Perm Resident part.
