Hi,

My husband is a legal permanent resident and we sent the "I-130 petition" for getting the family based GC. We got an case status e-mail today stating that the I-130 application was approved and an approval notice has been mailed.

What is the next step in the process to get the family based green card.

Please advise.

When did your husband file the I-130?

Hello folks!

First time here. I am checking for my brother. What are the abbreviations, PD, RD and the rest?

My assumptions are, PD - Priority Date. RD - REceipt Date.

Is there a msg. post explaining these short forms? I tried to search in this site, could not find it.

Thanks!

My Sister-in-law is a Perm. Resident. She got married in 01/2002 in India. She is here in the US.

Applied for I-130 in 10/2002 in Baltimore, MD. Vermont Serv. Center.
I-130 receipt date = Nov. 26, 2002.
I-130 Approval date = 04/25/2005.

My sister-in-law got a case status e-mail a couple of days ago stating that the I-130 application was approved and an approval notice has been mailed.

What are the next steps in the process to get the family based green card and how long do you think it will take for him to land in the USA?

Thanks a lot in ADVANCE to whom ever is advicing. Thanks to the TheRealCanadian to pitch in.
