One of my friends is planning to marry a 16 year old girl soon due to personal reasons.

He is in a dilemma whether to postpone the marriage because he is worried about getting H4 visa for her. Can a 16 year old spouse get a H4 visa?

Your friend needs a marriage certificate to get his fiancee\'s H4. Will that country authorities issue a marriage certificate?

In India (where various substitutes to an official marriage certificate are available), Chennai consulate has refused H4 for a minor girl/wife.
