What is better, paying more to Attorney or giving more to Tsunami relief ?

Hi,

My details are :

NSC Concurrent : Apr. 2004
PD : Aug. 2003
FP : Jun. 2004
140 Pending
485 God knows !

Like many in this forum, I have worked more than my Attorney thru my H1 transfer, LC application with subsequent RFEs and Concurrent 140/485 filing. Now, my H1 is expiring in 3 months and applying for first extension with the same company. I have got all the required documents meticulously filled & ready for my application. Wondering is it safe to apply directly (thru my employer) or do I need to donate a good sum to my attorney for him to attach his letter in forwarding my documents. I felt good in donating to Tsunami victims.

In short, do the USCIS make a fair assessment from what they receive or from whom they receive ?

I know this question is for the H1 community, but this is my home forum as I, like so many here is stuck with the PD retrogressssssssssion. Any of your experiences and / or suggestions are welcome.

Thank you in advance.
