Hi,
I filed for an H4 visa on my husband's H1-B in October 2003. I received the receipt on Nov 5th. Subsequently, I found an employer who filed for a H1-B based on this receipt which was approved (premium processing).
I sent across the documents for cancellation of the H4 on March 4th - there was no receipt from INS for this cancellation.
Now, I came to know that the H4 is approved.
I am at crossroads. What is my legal status now?

Per last action rule you are on H4. You can either do another Premium H1 or discuss with lawyer about returning H4 quoting withdrawal of the application.

Thanks, Jaxen.
I spoke with my firm, and they say that since I am on payroll with them and I've already sent a letter for cancellation for the H4, my H1-B status remains the current status.
