WA DOL progress for non-RIR LC?

I filed an ordinary LC (not RIR) in Oct 2002 in Seattle WA.

The DOL site says WA are still processing April 2001 for non-RIR.

How long has it been stuck at this date for?

Anyone else in the same situation?

I can't believe it has been 18 months and I'm not even at the I140/I485 stage!

I've filed RIR in Apr 2003. As far as I can remember the regular dates have been stuck at Apr 2001 since late 2001. WA used to be really good in 2001 with RIR being certified in 3 months and regular in 5-6 months, but 245(i) and the rotten economy screwed it up.

Looks like the only people getting LC's processed in WA in the last couple of years are RIR's (most large corps like Microsoft) and the universities who get priority treatment.

I did an analysis on the database for WA and there was one non-RIR processed for 2002, and it looks like it was a University job anyway.

DEPARTMENT OF VETERINARY CLINICAL SCIENCES WASHING
Received state office 5/2/2002
Received regional office 6/7/2002
Veterinary Epidemiologist
Remand Issued to State

Prior to that, the last IT job processed was:

GRAPHICODE INC
Received state office 9/24/2001
Received regional office 12/5/2002
Last event date 10/20/2003
Software Engineer
Certified

My boss is dumbfounded that a government agency can have a 2 year backlog! Isn't this what taxes pay for?

And look at this:

UNIVERSITY OF WASHINGTON
Received state office 10/28/2003
Received regional office 11/3/2003
Last event date 11/5/2003
Faculty Member, College Or University
Certified

The universities get their labor certifications processed as quickly as ONE WEEK and the rest of us have to wait SEVERAL YEARS?!

So then they are not even working on the 245(i) backlog ! Wonder what they are up to.

Maybe there is just one guy assigned to this project and that too part time.
