Visitors visa for the spouse of a GC holder

Hello,

I'm a GC holder and recently got married to someone from India. My wife applied for a tourist visa before our marraige in Chennai and that was denied.

The visa officer didn't even look at her documents. This being the case can she apply for a tourist visa again. Though I'm a GC holder I've not started the GC application for my wife as I can apply for my citizenship by the end of 2009. Now can she apply for the tourist visa stating that she needs to visit her husband in the U.S who is a GC holder. Will that work?

Can we go through any agent for a tourist visa?

We are also looking to apply for a student visa soon. If her tourist visa is rejected a few times before she applies for the student visa, will it hurt her chances of getting a student visa as well.

She can apply for a visit visa but it is highly unlikely that she will be issued one. The same goes for an F-1 visa.

Now can she apply for the tourist visa stating that she needs to visit her husband in the U.S who is a GC holder. Will that work?

Hey man,

Did you able to get visitor Visa or F1 for your wife ? Can you please advice as Iam also same scenerio. Iam expecting my fiancy is India and planning to bring her either on student Visa or B1 Visa. Please advice if any one went through the same boat
