Visitors visa Canada

Hi everyone,

My parents are going to apply for visitor\'s visa to canada in Detroit to
see Niagara Falls, Toronto. They are in USA on tourist visa.

Will there be any problem while returning from Canada in light of proposed
30 day rule for US visitors. They have I-94 stamped until September. Please post any recent experiences while returning from Canada into Detroit on tourist visa.

Also, do they issue visitor\'s visa on the same day at Canada Consulate in Detroit? Are there any specific requirements/size for photos required for Canada visitor visa application? please share any recent experiences.

Last week my friend travelled alongwith his mother, wife and children

They travelled by road. His mother is returning to India this Monday.
They did not have any problems. They applied for visas at the Buffalo office as they were travelling from boston to Toronto. All of them received visas stamped on the same day and they continued their journey.

Regarding Detroit. Check the website of Detroit office and u can also call the consulate and enquiry whether visitor visas r issued on the same day. I heard the officials there r very responsive and helpful.
