What are the ways to get rid of this "Valid for work only with INS authorization" mark on my SS card? Do you have have to become a citizen or can this be gotten rid of with an EAD card?

You need to have a green card or citizenship to remove that restriction. EAD won't get it removed.

So If I began working, what steps would I take?
Would I simply just give him my SS card and EAD and that's it?

Simply give them your EAD and Work Authorization. They go hand in hand. You wont get rid of the restriction until you have your GC in hand.

Wait, what do you mean by EAD "AND" Work Authorization? I thought EAD was the work authorization thing

No, EAD and SSC. That will work.
Simply give them your EAD and Work Authorization. They go hand in hand. You wont get rid of the restriction until you have your GC in hand.
