Urgent: question about OPT requirement

I got admission for one year master program starting from this summer. University hope me to start as H4 visa and then transfer to F1 in Fall term. So I will keep F1 full time in Fall and Spring term. I will graduate in next May. For my condition, do I have any problem for applying OPT during my graduation?
As I know, for applying OPT, I need to take one academic year study as full time student. So for my condition, will a Fall and Spring term be account for full academic year?
