URGENT HELP PLEASE !!! How long have to wait between two J1 Visa ?

Hi,

I am from France, my 4 months J1 visa just expired (it was a summer work visa). I want to apply for an other J1 Visa (for an internship), how long did I need to wait between this 2 J1 visa ? My first J1 expired 09/29/2004, which start date can I put for the second J1 visa ?

1. Are you in the US at this time ? (if yes, what does your I94 form say)
2. Do you have a 'foreign residency requirement' on your J1

From what I understand there is no minimum time, except for #2 above.
 
I believe you can apply without any waiting period. If your J1 stamp is not expired yet, you might even be fine just with a new DS2091
 
same question, different scenario

Can someone apply to back to back J-1's? What happens if you are in the US and you have a 2YHRR (training physician?).
This is in the case of change in specialties and need to do research inbetween.

Ji back to back or with a gap

Both ways :1) back to back J 1 &2) J1 _ GAP_J1 are allowed provided your max of 7 yrs is not expired.
you can exit US & return back on another j1 thru same or different sponsors, it is possible.
