I have attended for H1B visa in Chennai last year Nov 2006, yesterday December 19th 2007 after Name check process, the status updated to SENT PPT. It been six months since I joined a local company in India, and want to stay here for some time, probably next year I want to go to US on a new H1B. My employer in US has closed down(bad employer).
My question : Should I send my passport for stamping of visa, so that when I go for stamping some time next year/future on a new H1, I would not have to go for name check process?
If I don't send for stamping, in future I go for B1 or H1, I am thinking, I will have to go through the process again, I am not sure how frequently they would do the name check if you went to consulate next time.
Apprently, the consulate has asked to send passport only, I am guessing that they would stamp and sent it back.
Please guide me.
